Thank-you for expressing interest in a commission. This is how I do it:
First, a decision on the item, size and format.
Secondly, I need a timescale. Due to the nature of the work, it may take up to 4 weeks. This depends on the piece and the time of year, as periods like Christmas can get busy.
Third, to ensure you are happy with your choice I will send you sample tiles for your selection of size, shape, colour etc. This can take a week or so, and is in addition to the timescale agreed on above, so it needs to be taken into consideration where deadlines are concerned.
Finally, I ask for a deposit of 50% of the final price, or payment in full for items under £50. This must be received by me before any work is undertaken.
